Yes, have dell Remotely fix your issue. there's a TON of problems with Dell's crappy selection of CD\DVD Burners and Roms.
They have basic Windows Drivers...
Windows Media Player decides to overwrite these registry entries.. Now your DVD Rom is "EPIC FAIL"
Doesn't show up and it does not respond when IT DOES show up after rebooting.
Dell has no drivers for these, they only have firmware updates which DO seem to work but it still sucks. I would buy a new DVD rom that does NOT use a Microsoft Driver that will be changed everytime you use Windows media player... blah!
