Remote Desktop.. Free Easy install?

I have 4 laptops with me currently. yeah... 4.

3 of them are broken however. I would like to setup a system where I can monitor them from the laptop I'm currently on, but 3 of their screens are broken. I can pretty much remember where everything is... but what I'm wondering is if there is anything better out there than Remote Desktop Viewer that was installed with Vista.

VNC is great application, I used it to play a joke on my friends and it works, just gota do a few things on their side to set it up, then it will turn on automaticly when their computer starts, or you can set their computer so it turns on when theres any network activity, and once youve done that you gota play around with settings and your on your way. Just do some research on how to use it and you should be set.
