Whats the BEST software to improve PC performance (see below)?

I have an old windows XP computer that had a virus but is completely clean now.. It is very slow though (trust me there are no viruses) We have a great internet connection but the pc internet still runs slow..
I am looking to buy the best software that will improve my pc. I dont like Tuneup Utilities though..

before spending any money do the following.....
1. in control panel free up space on your hard disk in performance and maintenence
2. again control panel performance and maintenence rearrange items to make programs run faster(disk defragmenter) this will take a good while
3.go into add or remove programs and delete every program you do not use unless its required to keep another program working(itll warn you first)
4. click start...my computer...right click local disk....select properties....tools....check now...click both boxes and click start..(may require a reboot)
5.click start....run....type cmd click open....type sfc/scannow
6.using a bit torrent client like azureus download a program called advanced registry fix (good registry cleaner) by searching for it on Isohunt
7. obtain a program called xoftspy(malware/spyware remover) in the same manner as above
if u need a registration key to activate the full program you can find them by googling or check z crack.com
if you do all that ive said here im positive youll see a big difference without spending a penny....if you have problems with scannow skip it or email me its not that important anyways....finally check your disk to see that you have at least 20 percent free space available on your hard disk...you can check this by going into control panel....performance and maintenence.....rearrange items on hard disk
